For the second time in eight days, a bomb threat caused the evacuation of the BlueOval SK construction site in Glendale.

On Thursday morning at approximately 10:00, a written threat was found on the wall of a port-a-potty at the $5.8 billion construction project. The building was evacuated, and a search of the property was undertaken by plant officials.

During the search, a bag with wiring attached to electronic equipment was found.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and the Kentucky State Police responded. An expert in explosives determined the device was “Christmas lights on top of a bag of tools,” Hardin County Deputy David Lee told news outlets.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.

On February 22, a bomb threat was found written on a checklist in a port-a-potty. The threat stated that a bomb would go off at 1:00 p.m. No threat was found.
