AMBER Alert issued for 5-year-old Princeton girl after her mother is found murdered

An AMBER Alert has been issued for a five-year-old Caldwell County girl after her mother was murdered.

Lela Black, of Princeton, was reported missing after her mother, Kelly Black, was found deceased on Monday from a gunshot wound to the back of her head. Kentucky State Police is investigating the murder and has issued an arrest warrant for Lela Black’s father, 42-year-old Byron Black.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Lela Black is thought to be with her father. They have not been seen since Friday.

Byron Black may be driving a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado with California license plate 5J83779, according to AMBER Alert. Paint peeling off the hood of the vehicle.

Byron Black stands six feet tall. He has brown eyes and brown hair, according to Kentucky State Police.
