5 charged with engaging in organized crime in Hart Co. after police recover 7 stolen ATVs, other pilfered items

Five suspects have been charged in Hart County with engaging in organized crime after law enforcement recovered seven stolen ATVs and other pilfered items worth tens of thousands of dollars.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office said that on Tuesday Deputy Jacob Hodges received information regarding the recent thefts of ATVs. The thefts began on December 26, 2023.

On Wednesday, Hart County deputies and Kentucky State Police located stolen ATVs at two separate locations: A stolen Razor and other items were recovered on Eudora Road, in the Horse Cave area. Three smaller 4-wheelers were recovered at a residence on Rowletts-Cave Springs Road, about four miles southwest of Munfordville.

Police arrested Ryan Stinson, 22 of Horse Cave, Richard L. Perry II, 42, of Louisville, Travis L. Shepherd, 32, of Hart County, Jonathan R. Nunn III, 27, of Horse Cave, and Lashauna S. Wells, 39, of Bowling Green.

All five suspects were charged with engaging in organized crime. All but Nunn were charged with receiving stolen property.

Stinson was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Shepherd was also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Nunn was further charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Perry was served with three arrest warrants.

All the suspects were lodged in the Hart County Jail.
