Following a weekend chalked full of Holiday events in Grayson County, on Monday night there will be a Christmas party for special needs individuals.
Organized by Donna VanMeter and a host of volunteers, the party will be held Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall at 109 West Walnut Street in Leitchfield.
The free event will offer snacks, music and photo opportunities with Santa Claus.
The party is open to special needs individuals of all ages.
An hour later, the city of Clarkson will host the second annual “Christmas in the Park and Tree Lighting” ceremony at Clarkson City Park.
Caneyville, also at 6:00 p.m., will host “Light up Caneyville” at the Caneyville Purple Flash Center.
On Saturday, the “Hometown Christmas Parade” will take to the streets of Leitchfield at 4:00 p.m. The parade will travel from the Grayson County Fairgrounds to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Following the parade, a “Shop the Square” event on the Leitchfield Town Square will feature over 20 vendors, retails shops, caroling, and photo opportunities with Santa.
