In an on-going effort to record local folklore and celebrate Halloween, the Grayson County Historical Society respectfully requests your submission of personal and family GHOST STORIES!  Halloween is a fun time of year, and nothing makes it better than a good ghost story.  Every family seems to have at least one, but they only get passed down once a year around the holiday.  Unfortunately as years go by, the stories can get changed or even forgotten as generations pass.

Don’t let your family and our county forget its past!  Please take the time to write down or record your families ghost story.  You can bring it to the Jack Thomas House at 122 East Main Street, mail it, or even email it to graysoncokyhistsoc@windstream.net.

We will be recounting these and other ghost stories at the Jack Thomas House during Scare on the Square.  Stop by with the kids, hear some stories, tour the house, and grab some refreshments and candy.  We hope to see you there!
