Hardin Co. man with violent history indicted for killing his father

A Hardin County man with a long list of arrests has been indicted for killing his father.

Tyler D. Sheroan, 37, was indicted for murder (domestic violence) by a Hardin County Grand Jury, according to The News Enterprise, for killing his father, 70-year-old Michael Sheroan.

The killing occurred on Friday afternoon, October 27 at approximately 4:30 when the Radcliff Police Department responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Hill Street and discovered Michael Sheroan deceased after being beaten and stabbed.

Tyler Sheroan experienced a medical episode at the residence after being detained by police. He was transported to Baptist Health Hardin.

Two days later Sheroan was arrested and charged with his father’s murder. He remains in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $1 million cash bond.

Since 2008, Tyler Sheroan, according to online records, has been arrested over two dozen times on charges including, assault, drug possession (methamphetamine, synthetic drugs), theft by unlawful taking (controlled substance), burglary, violating parole, felony wanton endangerment, alcohol-related offenses, harassment, and unlawful imprisonment.

He was convicted of second-degree assault in January 2023. The incident took place in September 2021.
