
An attorney has been jailed after trying to bring drugs into a Kentucky prison.
Ashlea N. Hellman, 34, of Louisville, an attorney for Fernandez and Maloney Law Firm, allegedly arrived at the Roederer Correctional Complex in La Grange with papers that had been soaked in synthetic drugs, according to WAVE News Troubleshooters.
She was charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs and first-degree promoting contraband.
According to the report by WAVE.com, Hellman was in an attorney-client room with the papers when officials discovered the documents had been laced with a substance.
Hellman was lodged in the Oldham County Detention Center but has since been released.
