A Clarkson woman has been killed in a Peonia Road crash.
Monday evening at approximately 6:00, Grayson County Sgt. Erik Franklin and the Anneta, Clarkson, Peonia, and Leitchfield Fire Departments responded to the 8000 block of Peonia Road on the report of a two-vehicle accident.
Upon arriving at the scene, one of the drivers of was discovered to be deceased. A Kentucky State Police accident reconstructionist was then summoned to reconstruct the crash.
The preliminary investigation, police said, showed a 2019 Ford F450 commercial vehicle towing a trailer with an “over-dimensional” portable shed, and being driven by 19-year-old Kaleb Stutzman, of Clarkson, was traveling west.
A 2006 Ford Crown Victoria, being driven by Lisa Meredith, 56, of Clarkson, was traveling east when the vehicle struck the shed on the driver’s side, resulting in the Crown Victoria exiting the roadway and traveling down a steep, heavily wooded embankment.
Meredith was pronounced deceased at the scene by Grayson County Deputy Coroner James Embry.
Stutzman and a male passenger were uninjured.
The resulting investigation closed one lane of Peonia Road for several hours.
The crash remains under investigation by reconstructionist, Trooper Tyler Lynch.
Grayson County Deputy Andy Cast arrived and assisted at the scene.
