An elderly Pulaski County woman has been killed in a two-vehicle accident on I-65.

Kentucky State Police responded to the crash Tuesday night near the 27-mile marker of northbound I-65 in Warren County.

Kentucky State Police said the preliminary investigation showed that 78-year-old Sharon Locke-Racz, of Bronston, was driving a 2018 Buick SUV north when her vehicle was struck by a 2008 Toyota passenger car, being driven by 21-year-old Arruice Stafford, of Bowling Green.

Locke-Racz’s vehicle left the roadway and overturned, state police said.

Locke-Racz was airlifted to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was later pronounced deceased. Stafford was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green where he was treated and released.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by the Kentucky State Police.
