Human remains discovered in Rowan County have been identified.
Skeletal remains were found Sunday afternoon, September 24 by hunters in a wooded area in Morehead near the border of Daniel Boone National Forest.
The Rowan County Coroner’s Office said in a social media post that “personal items” were found in the vicinity of the remains.
The body was sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office where the remains were identified as Brian W. Doyle, 55, of Cynthiana.
No cause of death was released.
