The boyfriend of Crystal Rogers has been arrested.

Brooks W. Houck, 41, who was named a suspect in Rogers’ disappearance and apparent murder early in the investigation, has been arrested “without incident on charges stemming from the Crystal Rogers investigation,” Kentucky State Police said in a press release. Kentucky State Police and the FBI coordinated to make the arrest.

In coordination with the Kentucky State Police, other local and federal law enforcement partners, FBI Louisville has been laser-focused on our commitment to hold accountable those that were responsible for the disappearance of Crystal Rogers,” the release stated.

Rogers, 35, the mother of five, disappeared on July 3, 2015. Her vehicle was found on the Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County with her personal belongings inside.

The Houck indictment remains sealed, police said, and additional details will be revealed during Houck’s arraignment in early October in Nelson County Circuit Court.

Earlier this month, Joseph L. Lawson, 32, of Willisburg, was arrested and charged in the Rogers case with conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence, according to a law enforcement document.

Houck was initially booked into the Nelson County Detention Center before being transferred to the Hardin County Detention Center. He’s being held on a $10 million cash bond.
