Basil Anne Hurt Maxwell Darden, 81, of Brownsville passed away Sept. 23, 2023 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Todd County native was a retired 4th Grade teacher at Brownsville Elementary School, a member of Shady Land Church of Christ, a member of Kentucky Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was the daughter of the late Dartis Hurt and Irene Wells Hurt and the wife of the late Mack Maxwell and Larry Darden, who survives. She was preceded in death by a son, Chad Maxwell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Shady Land Cemetery. Visitation will take place 4-8 PM Monday and after 9:00 AM Tuesday.
Also surviving are a daughter, Susan Maxwell Vincent (Stacy) of Bee Spring; four step children, Kenny Darden of Kingman, AZ, Mark Darden (Lisa) of Hohenwald, TN, and Mishawn Greenfield (Kelvin) and Crystal Lawson (Ray) both of Elkton; nine ghrandchildren, Sawyer Vincent, Larry Darden, Christian Carter, Megan Darden, Taylor Darden, Callie Scott, Hayden Greenfield, Abby Greenfield and Kadence Lawson; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
