The Leitchfield Police Department has hired two new officers familiar to Grayson County residents.
Earlier this month, LPD hired Justin Cockerel, who arrived at the department after serving the first two years of his law enforcement career with the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.
This week, LPD hired Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Detective Wally Ritter.
Ritter was a longtime deputy and detective with the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office when he joined the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office as a road deputy in September 2022.
He has a total of 10 years of law enforcement experience.
