A man has been jailed in Louisville after a traffic stop revealed he was in possession of nearly 15 pounds of cocaine.
Louisville Metro Police and Kentucky State Police executed a traffic stop on a Dodge Ram truck on I-65 north at the Gene Snyder interchange for “multiple traffic violations.”
“Dude was allegedly driving like a fool,” Louisville police said in a social media post regarding the arrest.
After a K-9 alerted on the vehicle authorities located and seized five bricks of cocaine weighing 6.7 kilos (14.7 pounds). The packages contained the letters “YSL.” The street value of the cocaine is approximately $150,000, according to police.
The drugs, authorities said, were being transported from Texas, with Louisville being the final destination.
Police arrested 70-year-old Armandon G. Moreno and charged him with trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine) along with several traffic violations.
