Two Kentucky brothers were killed following a boating accident at Lake Cumberland on Friday.

The boys, who were 14 and 18, were riding a jet ski together when they were involved in a crash with a boat, according to WXIX.

The Pulaski County Coroner told news outlets that the brothers had their life jackets on but it was not enough to save them.

The initial investigation revealed that the jet ski crossed paths with a power boat roughly 40 feet long.

The collision was witnessed by the father of the two boys who told investigators what happened.

Officials said that no foul play, drugs, or alcohol were suspected in the crash.

The bodies of the brothers were taken to Frankfort where autopsies will be performed.
