Betty Lou Cain, age 92, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (June 23, 2023) at Grayson Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.
She was born on April 06, 1931 in Big Clifty, KY, the daughter of the late Hobert and Lora Ashlock Hart.
She was a supervisor at Cain Manufacturing (later IMS Sewing Factory) for 52 years who enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and working in her yard. She was a member of the Clarkson United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Gary Cain (Jean) of Leitchfield, Diane Whobrey of Concord, NC, & John Cain of Clarkson; five grandchildren, Rita Logsdon, Eric Armes, Jennifer Cain, Lora Beth Miller & Adam Cain; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Madge Hart of Louisville, KY & Wanda Hart of Big Clifty. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. “Bob” Cain; and seven brothers and sisters, Owsley Hart, Mabel Pence, Emmett Hart, Carl Hart, Beulah Johnson, Sue Powell & Walter “Waker” Hart.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, (June 28, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Clarkson Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
