A recall has been issued for several frozen fruit products found at Walmart and Costco due to hepatitis A concerns.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Williamette Valley Fruit Company issued the voluntary recall on Monday for certain packages of frozen fruit containing strawberries grown in Mexico.

The recalled frozen fruit products were sold as Great Value Sliced Strawberries, Great Value Mixed Fruit and Great Value Antioxidant Blend at Walmart stores in 32 states, including Kentucky, between January 24 and June 8.

The FDA says there have been no illnesses associated with the recall.

Customers who purchased the recalled frozen fruit can throw the items away or return it for a refund.

“Symptoms of hepatitis A can last up to two months and include fatigue, nausea, stomach pain, and jaundice,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “Most people with hepatitis A do not have long-lasting illness. The best way to prevent hepatitis A is to get vaccinated.”
