A Falls of Rough felon has been arrested in Ohio County on drug and gun charges.
Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright said that on Friday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a juvenile driver in the 13000 block of KY 69 in Fordsville.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located “in the passenger’s area of immediate control … three containers of suspected methamphetamine, a methamphetamine pipe, needles, a digital scale, and a handgun,” Wright said. Additionally, in the back seat was a bag of marijuana.
The passenger, 52-year-old Carrie L. Vaughan, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The driver, police said, had a handgun in his waistband and was subsequently charged.
Vaughan was lodged in the Ohio County Jail but is no longer listed as an inmate.
Vaughan, according to online records, was previously arrested in 2017 in Breckinridge County for manufacturing methamphetamine and in a separate arrest, drug possession. She was jailed in 2016 in Breckinridge County for possession of methamphetamine and promoting contraband.
