A Bowling Green man has been jailed after police raided his apartment and found over $50,000 in cash and more than 10 pounds of marijuana along with 1,300 THC vape cartridges.

The Bowling Green – Warrant County Drug Task Force, with assistance from the WKU Police Department, arrested 20-year-old Austin H. Wallace as his Center Street apartment on Friday afternoon.

The investigation into Wallace began, police said, after authorities received a tip via Crime Stoppers, and resulted in surveillance of the suspect for an unknown length of time.

During a search of the apartment, the task force said officers discovered over 12 pounds of marijuana, 1,300 THC vape cartridges (with between 88 percent and 92 percent THC purity levels), 1,733 grams (3.8 pounds) of THC wax and edible marijuana concentrated products, two handguns, and over $50,000 in cash along with various drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Wallace was charged with trafficking in marijuana (over five pounds), possession of a controlled substance (hallucinogens) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges are enhanced due to the presence of the firearms.

He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
