Former Grayson County High School softball standout Beth Glasscock has been selected to become a member of the Kentucky Prep Softball Hall of Fame.

Glasscock is a 2005 graduate of GCHS where she turned in one of the greatest careers in school history.

While wearing the orange and blue, she was First Team All-State twice, All-Region four times, the AAA Player of the Year in 2005, and runner-up for Kentucky’s Miss Softball. She, of course, was runner-up to teammate Michelle Critchelow.

After graduating, Glasscock attended Jacksonville University on an athletic scholarship and was named All-Conference her freshman year.

In 2016, Glasscock was inducted into the Grayson County High School Hall of Fame in only the second class.

Her name still remains littered across the KHSAA record books. She ranks 13th in career hits, 11th in doubles, and 18th in runs batted in. She also ranks towards the top of the list in most of those categories’ single-season records.

Glasscock is the fourth inductee into the Hall of Fame with a Grayson County connection. She joins current Lady Cougar head coach Penny Reece (2001), Critchelow (2010), and her head coach at GCHS, John Skaggs (2020).

The 2023 Hall of Fame Class will be recognized during the East-West All-Star Weekend on June 16-18, 2023 at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg.
