KSP Post 4: Troopers make nearly 400 arrests, cite over 520 speeders, issue over 215 courtesy notices in March

Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its March Activity Report.

According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:

  • Wrote 2,180 citations and arrested 32 impaired drivers.
  • Opened 48 criminal cases, made 377 arrests and served 81 criminal court documents.
  • Cited 521 speeders and issued citations to 135 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with 11 citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
  • Investigated 38 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 92 stranded motorists.
  • Gave 217 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
  • Conducted 101 school and business security checks and answered 777 citizen complaints.
  • Were involved in 610 special details and conducted 18 community programs.

Sharp reminds motorists that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during April and throughout the remainder of 2023.

Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
