A Clarkson woman with a history of drug arrests has been jailed on a drug charge following a traffic stop for careless driving.
Friday night at approximately 9:15, Grayson County Deputies Jordan Jones and K-9 handler Sean Fentress and K-9 Zeus were on patrol in the 2100 block of Beaver Dam Road when deputies spotted a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier cross the center line multiple times, according to the arrest citation.
Police stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, 37-year-old Brandi M. Kendall, who told deputies she was swerving was because of “oncoming headlights of cars,” the citation states.
Fentress deployed Zeus around the vehicle with the K-9 alerting to the presence of drugs.
During a search, police found two baggies containing methamphetamine.
Kendall, a convicted felon, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and careless driving. She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
Kendall was arrested in Hardin County in February 2022 and charged with possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), theft by unlawful taking, and third-degree criminal trespassing.
In April 2018, she was arrested in Jefferson County where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and theft by unlawful taking.
In December 2016, Kendall was arrested in Hardin County and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
