A fifth person has been charged in the death of a Bath County man.
Kentucky State Police arrested 46-year-old Donald R. Puckett, of Sharpsburg, and charged him with murder in the stabbing death of 41-year-old Christopher Bussell.
Four other suspects have been charged in connection to Bussell’s death: Shannon McCarty, 20, of Owingsville, was charged with murder and harboring a fugitive; Priscilla Hunt, 42, of Sharpsburg, and Joslyn L. Brooks, 18, of Stanton, were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and harboring a fugitive; and Krystal G. Hardin, 40, of Sharpsburg, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Kentucky State Police responded late Saturday morning February 11 to 377 East High Street in Owingsville after Bussell, of Owingsville, was discovered stabbed to death in a yard. He had been stabbed multiple times, according to state police, and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bath County Coroner’s Office.
State police said additional charges could be forthcoming.
No motive for the killing has yet been established, according to state police.
