A theft suspect has been arrested in Ohio County.
On Wednesday, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, Beaver Dam Police Department and Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant on a vehicle belonging to a theft suspect, Phillip C. Edge, 35, of Beaver Dam.
Edge was suspected of committing thefts that occurred on December 15 and December 27, according to Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright.
While searching the vehicle, law enforcement found “various tools … including a chainsaw that was listed as stolen from the Halter Group” as well methamphetamine and a handgun.
Police later located additional stolen items at a residence (presumably Edge’s home) in Beaver Dam.
Edge was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property (over $1,000, under $10,000), possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.
