The City of Elizabethtown is bringing Santa Claus to town on Monday, December 19th to area locations on the Santa Route.
The Santa Route will begin on December 19th at 12:00 p.m. with the first stop being Severn’s Valley Baptist Church’s parking lot, then onto the Towne Drive before beginning the tour of Elizabethtown.
The actual route can be found on https://arcg.is/1fHai00 . The link can also be found at etownevents.com, Elizabethtown City Events Facebook page, Elizabethtown Police Department Facebook page, City of Elizabethtown Government Facebook page, and by downloading the City of Elizabethtown app on your smart phone.
During the route, patrons are able click on the link to follow Santa’s Route so they know when he will be nearby or where to drive to see him. The route will “turn green” once Santa has visited the area. The Elizabethtown City Events Department and Police Department will also be providing live updates on their Facebook pages.
The fire truck that Santa Claus will be riding on will not be going into streets where there are cul-de-sacs or dead end roads. Santa will cover as much of the city as possible however, it is important that patrons know, not every street will be reached. That’s why the link is available so they can track Santa in the city in real time. To ensure children see Santa, please plan to park at one of the larger parking lot locations at Severn’s Valley or Towne Drive beginning at 12:00 pm,
prior to his neighborhood routes.
To find out where he is or where he’s going, the link is the only resource available. Do not contact Elizabethtown Police Department or Hardin County 911 to find out his route, please leave those lines open for emergencies.
For more information, contact the City Events Department at the Historic State Theater, 270-234-8258. The link will be monitored closely and updated in real time for patrons to follow.
