Police have located the body of a woman in Green River after she struck a bridge in McLean County Saturday night.

Kentucky State Police said the McLean County Coroner’s Office believes it’s the body of 28-year-old Elza Jo Kolle, of Evansville, Indiana. The body was pulled from the river near Livermore on Wednesday afternoon.

Kolle crashed into the Hwy 431 bridge Saturday night at approximately 11:30. Her young son was found alive on the river bank. He provided authorities with information regarding what happened before and after the crash, helping police with the investigation, state police said.

Troopers, the McLean County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky Fish & Wildlife and other emergency service personnel conducted the search.

The body was taken to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville for an autopsy.
