The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting on Grayson Springs Road.
Saturday night at approximately 7:45, Grayson County Sgt. Jason Luedke, Deputy Caleb Owens, Constable Mark Stanton, Kentucky State Police Trooper Jakob Clemons, the Clarkson Fire Department, and EMS responded to the shooting in the 6600 block of Grayson Springs Road.
According to a person familiar with the investigation, a woman shot a man in the hip with a small caliber handgun.
The victim, Jeremy Stinnett, 42, of Clarkson, was airlifted from a field about one mile from the shooting scene as Clarkson fire personnel blocked Grayson Springs Road while the patient was transferred from an ambulance to the medical helicopter.
The shooting suspect was interviewed by police at Leitchfield Police Department headquarters for just short of two hours and released.
The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office has not released information on the investigation but is expected to on Monday. K105 will have more on this story as it becomes available.
