The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team is investigating a trooper-involved shooting in Trimble County.
The shooting occurred Tuesday night a few minutes before 9:00 near Moffett Road in Milton, a town of fewer than 700 residents adjacent to the Ohio River.
The man shot was transported to University of Louisville Hospital. His condition has not been released.
No other details regarding the shooting have been released.
“KSP is committed to being transparent while ensuring the integrity of the investigation,” Kentucky State Police said in a statement Wednesday. “To protect the integrity of an ongoing investigation, it is KSP’s standard operating procedure not to release specific details until vital witnesses have been interviewed and pertinent facts gathered. Timelines to complete investigations vary based on the complexity of the case.”
