Human remains have been found on the outskirts of Bardstown.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a Nelson Co. Road Dept. crew found the remains while performing maintenance near the intersection of Boston Road (Hwy 62) and Old Boston Road, approximately a half-mile from the Bardstown-Nelson County Airport.
Police said what appears to be a homeless person’s camp was found near the body, according to a report by The Kentucky Standard.
The remains were transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office.
