Kentucky State Police and Breckinridge County authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night just before midnight.
KSP has not yet responded to a request for information, but according to an unconfirmed report, the shooting took place near Kiper Road, about three miles southwest of McDaniels, between 11:30 p.m. and midnight Monday.
Police responded after a Kiper Road resident reported hearing multiple gunshots, followed by what appeared to be screams near his home, according to the unconfirmed report.
