A Beaver Dam man has been arrested after police received a tip about a “large amount of methamphetamine at a residence in Beaver Dam.”

Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said that on Wednesday afternoon deputies, the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and Beaver Dam Police Department arrived at the residence and executed a search warrant where police located approximately 3.5 ounces of methamphetamine.

Deputies arrested 34-year-old Steven S. Minton and charged him with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Crystal L. Howard, 40, of Fordsville, who absconded from parole after a conviction for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) in Daviess County in 2018, was found at the residence. During a search of Howard, deputies located methamphetamine.

She was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Howard is on probation until January 1, 2099, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections.

Additionally, 50-year-old Jeff Bratcher, of Beaver Dam, arrived at the residence while police were there. He was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants out of Ohio County.

All three suspects were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
