A Caneyville man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office served a warrant at his home.
On Monday night at approximately 9:00, Grayson County Deputies Caleb Owens, Erik Franklin and Nick Pruitt arrived at 46-year-old Matthew S. Willis’ Rabbit Flat Road home to conduct an investigation.
Up arriving, deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence, according to the arrest citation. Police obtained a search warrant for the home and discovered a bag of methamphetamine, multiple containers of marijuana, “pills not in an appropriate container,” three firearms, drug paraphernalia, and $1,100 in cash, the citation states.
Willis was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in a legend drug (read: prescription drug), illegal possession of a legend drug, and trafficking in marijuana.
All the drug charges are enhanced due to the presence of firearms.
Willis was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.
