Two Clarkson residents have been arrested after police responded to a possible break-in in progress on Old Leitchfield Road.

Wednesday morning at approximately 3:25, Grayson County Deputy Nick Pruitt was dispatched to the mobile home park at 302 Old Leitchfield Road after residents of a trailer said someone was trying to enter the home. Grayson County Dispatch told police that, based on what the caller said, firearms could be present, resulting in Leitchfield Police Officer DJ Newton responding to assist Pruitt.

Upon police arriving, no intruders were found but it was determined that a female at the residence, 32-year-old Bethany L. Decker, had a warrant for her arrest charging her with three counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a controlled substance (under $10,000) a class D felony.

The other person at the mobile home, 36-year-old Joshua Cooper, was discovered to be a felon in possession of a 9mm handgun.

Decker and Cooper were arrested and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
