Police in central Kentucky have seized nearly $100,000 worth of fentanyl and over $92,000 in cash at a Jessamine County residence.
According to the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office, narcotics officers seized 2,816 pressed fentanyl pills with a street value of $98,560, along with $92,077 in cash after a drug trafficking investigation. Deputies also seized two handguns, 20 ounces of marijuana, digital scales, and packaging materials.
Police arrested 53-year-old Anthony Sharkey and charged him with trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl), trafficking in marijuana, being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sharkey is being held without bond in the Jessamine County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
