A tip on a stolen vehicle from Ohio County authorities has led to the arrest of a woman and the recovery of the pilfered SUV.

At approximately midnight Tuesday night, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office was alerted by Grayson County Central Dispatch that Ohio County authorities reported a stolen Ford Escape from Ohio County might be in the 500 block of Ambassador Shores Drive, in Anneta.

Grayson County Sgt. Jason Luedke arrived at the Anneta address and found an abandoned property with no vehicle on scene.

Then, about an hour later, Deputy Sean Fentress was patrolling South Main Street/Anneta Road and spotted the stolen Ford Escape in a driveway next to an apparently abandoned property containing a camper in the 1300 block of Anneta Road, just south of the Leitchfield city limits.

Luedke quickly arrived on scene and requested assistance from the Leitchfield Police Department as several people were on the property.

During a search of the vehicle and the suspect, 42-year-old Marla Logsdon, police located multiple drugs.

After an investigation, police arrested Logsdon, who has ties to Grayson, Butler, Ohio, and Edmonson counties, and charged her with receiving stolen property, two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, drug unspecified), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Assisting at the scene were LPD Detective Kevin Smith, Sgt. Keith Harrell and Officer Jeff Helvey.

Logsdon has multiple drug arrests over the last few years, including September 2019 in Butler County where she was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

In March 2020, Logsdon was arrested in Morgantown and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (heroin, methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
