Kentucky State Police is investigating after three people were found shot to death outside a residence near McHenry in Ohio County.
KSP Post 16 Public Affairs Officer Corey King said two men and one woman were found, apparently shot to death, outside a residence in the 5700 block of Hwy 62 west. Additionally, an unattached building adjacent to the residence was on fire upon law enforcement’s arrival, but has since been extinguished.
King said officials are waiting for the building to “cool off” before investigating the burned structure further. King added that the building may have contained an apartment.
It is unclear at this point who shot the three victims.
Police are awaiting a search warrant for the residence to continue their investigation.
The incident took place well off the roadway.
