Two Leitchfield men, one accused of pointing a gun at an off-duty Grayson County Detention Center (GCDC) staff member, and the other for possessing multiple drugs, have been arrested.
Saturday night just before 6:00, Grayson County Deputy Sean Fentress and Sgt. Fred Norder, along with Constable Mark Stanton, responded to the 5600 block of St. Paul Road after developing information that 46-year-old Jamie D. Felty, wanted for pointing a gun at the head of a GCDC employee, was at the residence.
Upon making contact with Felty, who was in a vehicle with 52-year-old Timothy D. Clemons, he claimed to be his brother, an assertion supported by Clemons. Police, though, immediately saw through the ruse and arrested Felty on the Grayson County warrant.
Through further investigation, police located heroin in the vehicle, resulting in Clemons’ arrest.
In addition to the warrant, Felty was charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin), giving an officer a false name and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Upon Clemons arriving at the GCDC for booking, staff members discovered methamphetamine hidden on his person. Clemons was then charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (heroin, methamphetamine), promoting contraband (methamphetamine), hindering prosecution or apprehension, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
