Aug 21st
12:30 PM – 2:00 PM
The Grayson County Public Library will host a free Solar Eclipse Viewing Party Monday, August 21st from 12:30-2pm. The community is invited to bring a picnic lunch, chairs or blankets and gather outside the library to watch the eclipse. On August 21st, America will see its first solar eclipse since 1979 and the first from sea to sea since 1918. The library will provide special glasses for viewing the eclipse (while supplies last), activities for all ages and light refreshments. Also for those who would rather view the eclipse indoors, we will stream NASA’s live broadcast of the event inside the comfort of the community room.
