A Leitchfield woman has been jailed on drug and other charges after the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office received multiple complaints about her erratic behavior.

Tuesday night at approximately 9:30, Sgt. Fred Norder responded to the 2400 block of Salt River Road after a neighbor of 28-year-old Carolina A. Fulkerson said she “had knocked on the door and attempted to tell the neighbor that she was (another person), as she kept asking the neighbor if he knew Caroline Fulkerson and if they’d seen their neighbor Caroline,” according to the arrest citation.

The neighbor noted that Fulkerson had something in her pocket and that she, obviously, “was acting odd.”

Fulkerson, after speaking with her neighbor, “then walked back and forth between her residence and her vehicle and then walked toward the roadway,” the citation states. The neighbor did not see Fulkerson again.

Upon Norder arriving, he searched the area for Fulkerson without success. He subsequently found her sitting at a church at the intersection of Salt River Road and Clarkson Thomas School Road, about seven-tenths of a mile from her residence.

The sergeant determined Fulkerson was under the influence of a narcotic and placed her under arrest for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

During a search of Fulkerson and “her bags,” Norder located two used syringes and a baggy containing suspected methamphetamine, according to the citation.

Fulkerson was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
