Rock hunters/painter enthusiasts are invited to participate in a Painted Rock Contest presented by the Grayson County Public Library.
Get your creative juices flowing and paint a rock to depict a book or character from a book. Bring it to the library and fill out an entry form for you rock to be on display through the month of September for the community to vote for their favorite rock.
Rules & Regulations:
-All rocks must be appropriate for all viewing ages.
-Rocks must be approximately 4″x4″ or smaller in size.
-Artist must fill out registration form.
-All entries must be delivered to the GCPL no later than 5pm, Thursday, August 31st.
-Community will be allowed to vote once per person, per day.
-Winner will be announced Monday, October 2nd.
-Artist may pick up entries October 2nd-October 7th.
-Entries not picked up by closing October 7th will be hidden by staff for others to enjoy.
-GCPL is not responsible for loss or damaged entries.
-GCPL reserves the right to refuse entry.
