Kentucky State Police is investigating after three people, including a toddler, were killed in a multi-vehicle accident in McLean County.
Thursday morning at approximately 10:30, troopers responded to Hwy 81 about four miles north of Calhoun (just south of the Daviess County line), and found that a northbound 2007 Toyota RAV4, being driven by 35-year-old Joshua Fox, of Nortonville, crossed the center line and side-swiped a Kenworth dump truck, being driven by 53-year-old Brian Korb, of Dawson Springs.
State police said Fox then veered into the southbound lane and struck a Chevrolet Malibu, being driven by 24-year-old Dylan Howard, of Calhoun, and occupied by 23-year-old Shawna Rodney, three-year-old Emberlyn Howard, and another juvenile, all of Calhoun.
Rodney and Emberlyn Howard were pronounced dead at the scene. The second juvenile in the Malibu was airlifted to Norton Children’s Hospital. Dylan Howard was airlifted to Ascension St. Vincent hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
Fox was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Korb was uninjured but was arrested and charged with DUI.
The investigation continues.
