A missing Scott County teenager has been found deceased in a rural section of that county.

Lauren Reesor, 19, went missing Tuesday after she visited her sister in Louisville and was on her way to Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. She called her mother during the drive and told her she was planning to pick up groceries and buy gas, according to the Scott Co. Sheriff’s Office.

Late Tuesday night, her vehicle was found on Watkinsville Lane, near Stamping Ground, a rural area of Scott Co. between Georgetown and Frankfort.

Multiple agencies conducted a search for Reesor, with a lifeless female body located early Thursday afternoon near where Reesor’s vehicle was abandoned. Scott Co. Coroner John Goble confirmed the body was that of the missing teenager.

Foul play is not suspected, according to Scott Co. authorities. Reesor’s body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for an autopsy.
