A LaRue County man has been arrested for molesting a six-year-old Hardin County girl.

Kentucky State Police arrested 33-year-old John Andrews Jr., of Hodgenville, on Saturday and charged him with first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 12.

The News-Enterprise reports that the victim attended a birthday party in Radcliff, and when the opportunity arose, with the adults at the party gathering outside, Andrews pulled the little girl’s pants down and touched her buttocks inside her underwear. He’s also accused of stroking the little girl’s hair and rubbing her back in a provocative manner.

The victim tried to get away from Andrews, the newspaper reports, but the suspect blocked her from leaving.

The victim eventually fled Andrews and went outside and found her mother.

Andrews was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
