The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the suspect in a Sunday afternoon murder.

Robert B. Gray, 39, of Keavy, was arrested Wednesday after a standoff with Laurel County deputies. The standoff took place at the home of one of Gray’s relatives.

Gray had been on the run since killing 32-year-old Jeremy Caldwell, of Manchester, Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:00.

Law enforcement continues to look for 30-year-old Ashley B. Lewis, of East Bernstadt, who has a warrant for her arrest for complicity to commit murder.

The homicide took place in a parking lot at the intersection of Hwy 490 and Hwy 1376, about 20 miles north of London (near East Bernstadt).

Gray was lodged in Laurel County Correctional Center where he’s been charged with murder, resisting arrest and fleeing or evading police (on foot). He’s being held on a $1 million cash bond.

Anyone with information on the location of Lewis is asked to contact the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office at 606-864-6600.
