The identity of the man busted with about $2 million worth of cocaine on I-65 in Hardin County has been revealed.
Kentucky State Police said in a press release on Thursday that a KSP K-9 unit encountered a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado stopped on the shoulder of northbound I-65 at the 92 mile marker.
The subsequent investigation revealed the suspect, 67-year-old Paul Branham, of Paintsville, was in possession of 110 pounds of cocaine “packaged for sale,” according to a report by The News Enterprise.
Branham was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. This marks Branham’s second drug trafficking arrest, according to the newspaper.
The suspect posted a $75,000 partially secured bond and was released. He is due in court in Hardin County on Monday.
