Two Grayson County residents have been arrested on drug charges after being found traveling 18 miles per hour on Falls of Rough Road.
Thursday night at approximately 10:30, Grayson County Deputy Mark Johnson and Kentucky State Trooper Jakob Clemons were patrolling between Caneyville and Short Creek when the pair encountered a Dodge minivan traveling 18 miles per hour in the middle of the road, police said.
Johnson and Clemons conducted a traffic stop on the southbound van in the 4000 block of Falls of Road and discovered the driver, 39-year-old old Roland Baxter, of Falls of Rough, was driving while under the influence.
A search of the vehicle revealed a significant amount of methamphetamine in two bags, hidden in a hole in the passenger door.
Baxter and his passenger, 39-year-old Brandy J. Lee, of Millwood, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), with Baxter also being charged with DUI. Both suspects were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges for the pair are possible.
Lee, who at one time was on the roster of Grayson County’s Most Wanted, was arrested by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office in May 2019 on multiple charges, including manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
