A former teacher at a private eastern Kentucky school has been accused of multiple child porn charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 48-year-old Larry Dale Foley Jr., of Berea, was indicted Thursday for receiving, distributing, and possessing child pornography. Police said Foley knowingly possessed child porn that depicted the use of minors engaging in sexual activity.
The indictment alleges that, on December 17, 2018, Foley received images of child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Foley is also charged with distributing child pornography on December 30, 2018. The indictment alleges that on January 6, 2020, Foley possessed images of child pornography.
The FBI raided Foley’s home last month, and said none of the images or videos were of students from LaFontaine Preparatory School, where Foley taught for many years. Foley was teaching only part-time this year, but has previously taught third through fifth grade social students.
He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
