Teen murder suspect arrested after 12-hour manhunt in Muhlenberg Co.

After a nearly 12-hour manhunt, Kentucky State Police arrested a murder suspect in Muhlenberg County early Wednesday morning.

Police arrested 19-year-old Justin M. Case, of Bremen, and charged him with the murder of 42-year-old Overton Spoon, of Greenville. Kentucky State Police told SurfKyNews.com that Spoon’s body was discovered in the side yard of a residence on Hwy 189 in south Greenville a few minutes after 1:00 Tuesday afternoon. Spoon’s body was reported to police by a passerby.

Case was located just after midnight Wednesday morning and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. He was also charged with first-degree burglary, promoting contraband and trespassing.

Police have not released additional information on the case.
