On Friday, the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force and Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at the Horse Cave Adult Bookstore, off Flint Ridge Road.

The warrant was issued after an undercover investigation where police found that a volatile substance used as an inhalant was being sold at the business, according to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said the chemicals contain solvents and other substances, including isobutyl nitrite; a room odorizer illegally used as an inhalant to produce a feeling of euphoria. The toxic vapors emitted from the substance causes various side effects, and may lead to death, according to police.

Law enforcement also seized methamphetamine and marijuana at the business.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation continues and several felony arrests are expected.
