You can travel around the world in your own kitchen in this 5-part International Cooking Series that will be taught at the Grayson County Extension Office! You will learn about the customs and cuisine of five different featured countries, and experience wonderful new tastes, recipes, food demonstrations and food sampling! Robin Felix, Grayson County Nutrition Education Program Assistant, will introduce you to healthy, nutritious foods that you can make in your own home. The weekly series will be held on consecutive Tuesday’s from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the following schedule:
March 3 – El Salvador – Salvadoran Sweet Breakfast Cake
March 10 – Germany – Chicken Schnitzel
March 17 – Venezuela – Perico
March 24 – Thailand – Thai Cashew Chicken
March 31 – Costa Rica – Gallo Pinto
The class series is free to attend and open to the public, but advanced registration is required by calling (270) 259-3492. Participants will receive a free gift for every session they attend! Please park in the back of the building and enter in the West entrance door.
